Direct Source Network is working closely with a major Saudi Arabian company within the Food/Dairy/Livestock processing sector.
Due to expansion, the company wishes to engage a "Capital Projects Manager" for a brand new processing plant (in construction phase - target operational Q1 2012).

The CPM will be tasked with managing the operations division's projects ensuring compliance with the companies overall objectives, deadlines, operational and commercial strategies.

Duties will involve Planning, Implementation, Documentation and Execution of multiple projects ensuring optimal conditions and building within laid down specifications, approved drawings and within approved capital expenditures.
CPM will provide special engineering skills and services to the project.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Develop and execute projects to achieve agreed functional outcomes.

• Provide management of Ops Division projects team ensuring adequate resources, skills and experience are available to meet project demands.

• Manage the projects group H&S activities in accordance with the companies policy and best practices.

• Manage consultants. suppliers, contractors and internal customers to ensure objectives are met.

• Co-ordinate project activities in accordance with the companies Quality System, Standard Quality Procedures and Engineering Specifications.

Success Indicators:

• Individual projects completed on time and within budget.

• Project CAPEX.

• Meet H&S targets and objectives for site.

• On time /on budget installation of equipment, processes, and buildings that provide a competitive advantage.

• On time /on budget handover to manufacturing and engineering completed projects that meet companies objectives and commercial targets.

Scope of Projects:

• Processing plants (Livestock to Chilled Despatch)

• Administration Buildings (Incl staff amenities)

• Rendering Plant

• Water Treatment Plant

• Waste Water Treatment Plant

• Sewage Treatment Plant

• Central Utilities Plant

• Management and Staff Accommodation

The CPM will be responsible for all Project activities from assisting in Contractor selection and appointment to take-over on completion.

Person Specification:

1. Engineering or Technology Degree
2. 10+ years Food/Dairy Process Plant Management experience

Experience:

• Strong Project Management expertise utilising recognised PM methodologies

• Experience rolling out and completing Food/Dairy projects (Executed valuations over €100m)

• Experienced operating within senior management groups. Expertise in staff management and contractor management (multi-cultural environment).

• Ideally applicants will have exposure to project management within either a Dairy, Poultry or Livestock processing /production environment.
