A rapidly expanding life science company is keen to recruit a French speaking Technical Applications Specialists based from their head office near Cambridge.

The role will primarily involve providing technical assistance to customers by telephone and e-mail, and you will also support field based sales people with technical queries. Beyond technical support you will also provide detailed technical guidance regarding the correct choice of products for specific applications, write and develop technical documentation and conduct in-house and on-site technical training for customers. Applications Specialist - South UK - Molecular Biology - to £32K (£34K OTE)

This is an excellent opportunity for a fluent Spanish speaking Molecular Biologist who is looking to combine their research experience in a more commercial applications role.

The company is highly respected in the Life Science industry developing innovative molecular biology products. The Application Specialist role will primarily be based in their offices in the Thames Valley providing technical support to customers via telephone and email. You will also be involved with training internal staff, sales people and customers. Additionally you will be responsible for running proof of Principle Studies in the Applications lab.

The ideal candidate would have a PhD in Molecular Biology or a BSc/MSc graduate with strong experience running their own molecular biology research. Solid understanding and hands on experience of molecular biology techniques such as Microarrays, genotyping and gene expression is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and fluent Spanish + English is essential. Previous Application Specialist experience would be an advantage.

Field Service Engineer - Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) - East Anglia - to £35K

This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative dynamic company working in the cutting edge nanotechnology field. A market leader in Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) are now looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer who is willing to travel and cover a large territory.

This role will be 30% based in their offices in Cambridge and up to 70% travel. The successful candidate will travel to customer sites across the UK and Europe with occassional visits to the Middle East. You will be responsible for the installation of the nanotechnology systems, training the customers, providing technical support and follow up visits with customers.

The successful candidate will have at least an MSc in an Engineering discipline or a PhD in Sciences with experience in Atomic Force Microscopy. Good communication skills, with an excellent work attitude, and a flexible team player. French or German Language skills would be an advantage. Field based engineering experience is Desirable.

Trainee Sales Executive - Cell Culture - North UK / Scotland - to £25K (£32K OTE)

Good news if you are living in the North of England or Scotland with good practical cell culture experience! This is your chance to move into sales with full training and support from a well respected manufacturer.

This rare role will allow you to translate your cell culture experience into the commercial environment where you will be field based promoting the company's range of cell culture reagents and plastics. You will be responsible for sales across Northern England and Scotland so you will have plenty of accounts to target and grow with excellent potential. You will need to be living in the North of England or Scotland and be able to travel throughout the region, approximately one week per month will be spent away from home on business travel.. A minimum education level of a master s degree is expected with good technical and practical cell culture experience. This is important as the role is technically focused and you will need to have a good practical knowledge of cell culture techniques to perform the role.
